Initial Data Centre Assessment and Planning 

Full site assessment using diagrams, tables, photos, and textual analysis. As part of the Assessment, we also provide objective setting using MoSCoW prioritisation that provides guidance on what is required in the final design. 


Inventory and Asset Documentation 

A detailed asset inventory contains details such as manufacturer, model, serial number, location.

We can where requested provide asset tagging with labels or RFID. Data can be collected into a database for loading into a CMDB. 

We will also where requested provide an Asset Management Database creation and snapshot reporting. This can also include Warranty and maintenance contract consolidation. 

An essential set of documentation which is key to maintaining Data Centre operations is Cabling inventory and Patch Matrix documentation. This provides source and destination for all cable routes, including patches. 

Network Diagrams

We would with your Network Team and appointed Third Parties to ensure suitable documentation is created covering the key installed systems and overview diagrams. These should include as a minimum Physical and logical network mapping, IP address, VLAN, routing, and firewall configuration documentation.

Server and Rack Documentation

We provide Rack audits with front and rear photos, these are non-intrusive, we do not interrupt your services, unless activities are undertaken during off-net, or maintenance window periods. Rack Diagrams can contain Infrastructure ID, Manufacturer, Model Number, Asset Number, Serial Number, PDU port location

Physical Security Documentation

We provide local Physical Security Documentation that is available as a reference for all staff who attend to site that includes Access control, CCTV, alarm, and sensor reviews. 

We also provide Security audit reporting for compliance and governance.

Maintenance Schedules 

We provide a consolidated documentation on routine and preventive maintenance plans for all systems in and where available by the Data Centre Service Provider (usually provided 12 months in advance). 

Policy and Process Documentation

We provide Operational policies and procedural workflows and documentation for the operation of the Data Centre Services including Standard Operations Procedures (SOPS) and Emergency Operations Procedures (EOPS). 

We also provide comprehensive set of Policies for the operation of services within the Data Centre for Operations staff. This aligns to your Governance and compliance definitions.

Technical Documentation

We provide the build and operational documentation for infrastructure and systems which can form part of the implementation and Fit Out stages of the project.
