Server Room Design 

We help bring together and develop the end-to-end design of your Data Centre Server Room / Cage tailored to your specific requirements. We work with you to develop the layout plans and integration of IT equipment that aligns to the Data Centre facility cooling methods and rules to ensure optimal thermal management. 

Rack Design and Configuration 

We work with your team to develop accommodate custom rack layouts so we optimise the space utilisation, airflow, and accessibility. We also help in the selection of best-in-class components to meet performance and compliance standards. 

Structured Cabling Solutions 

We help design the layout and quantify the installation of high-performance cabling infrastructure that meets your current and future requirements for cabling technology, using industry best practices and standards as a base. Cabling includes all fibre and copper cabling for data, power, and cross-connects for Telecommunications delivery to your networking connectivity systems. 

CCTV and Physical Security 

Where applicable we work with the Data Centre Supplier to ensure that internal and external CCTV systems are monitoring all elements of your racks. Where regulatory requirements dictate, we will also ensure that data is being filmed and retained as per specification. We will provide evidence of CCTV installations to your Security, Risk and Compliance Teams. 

Where CCTV is implemented internally we will define and develop the designs and requirements as per your business standards and work with your Security/Facility Team to source. 

Connectivity & Integration Services 

Telecommunications & Cross Connects 

We will work with your networking/telecommunications team to identify the connectivity requirements and order the correct cross connect services from the Data Centre Service Provider. We will also confirm the presentation type and rack and location for the installation. 

Cloud & Internet Access 

We work with your team to ensure the enablement of secure, high-speed access to public and private cloud platforms, and Internet services, ensuring the continuity and resilience of services.  

Additional Services Design 

Remote Hands & Support Services 

As part of the service agreement will be an element of ‘On-demand technical support’ for hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, when none of your staff are able to attend to site, and an emergency dictates. These services will also help with post-project support to ensure ongoing operational efficiency. 

Storage & Compliance 

Depending on the availability and your requirements you may require an area for the storage of spare, cables and hot swappable items. These should not be stored in your suite or cage and as part of the agreement sourcing a small area would help keep your cage tidy and safe to work in. We negotiate these small extras as part of the agreement with the Supplier. 

Quality Assurance & Testing 

As part of the design and planning we include a period of time for the built infrastructure to go through an element of Integrated Systems Testing (IST) to validate failover capabilities and hardware integrity. We develop a plan and the sequence of testing and fall back required to identify the systems operating in a normal environment. Note this also involves some assistance from the Data Centre Supplier as they simulate Electrical circuit failures.
